Christian Platinum Recording Artist, Don Moen, Ends 20-Year Association With Integrity Music to Launch New Entrepreneurial Venture: The Don Moen Company

Nashville, TN, July 1, 2008 – Successful Christian recording artist, Don Moen, today announced the end of his 20-year association with Integrity Music, and his consequent formation of The Don Moen Company—a new entrepreneurial venture with a mission to proclaim and demonstrate the values of the Kingdom of God to the world.

Christian recording artist, Don Moen, after faithfully serving as executive, artist and songwriter with Integrity Media for 20 years, announced on July 1, 2008 that he has chosen to move beyond this association in order to pursue dreams that have been in his heart for decades. In reflecting on this move, Moen comments: “It has become clear to me that being president of a Christian music company is only part of the role God is calling me to fill. The Don Moen Company will allow me to continue to resource the Church, especially in the area of worship, and, at the same time, speak to the broader culture with Kingdom values. I also intend to be more intentional about my calling as a mentor in the area of songwriting and worship leading.”

In building his new enterprise, Moen has engaged Chief Operating Officer, Chris Long, a veteran communications and entertainment executive. Long adds, “It is an incredible privilege to serve Don in this new endeavor. Our vision is to build a substantial enterprise that plays to Don’s strengths as a mentor, visionary leader and product creator—both here and around the world. We expect to announce our first major acquisition within 30 days and intend to partner with organizations and leaders that have a passion for God’s Kingdom.”

While at Integrity Media, Moen served as President of Integrity Music and appeared as the face of the organization around the globe, leading live worship experiences under the brands iWorship and Songs4Worship. Moen personally attracted and signed influential worship artists/songwriters for the company, including: Hillsong Church, Israel Houghton, Brian Doerksen and Paul Baloche. Moen’s platinum worship album, Give Thanks, has sold more than one million copies worldwide, and the Church musical he composed, God With Us, has been hugely successful.

Moen is currently in the process of recording his final worship album on the Integrity label. This album is scheduled to be released internationally in the fall of 2008, and in the United States in the spring of 2009. Moen’s other big summer event will be at the Christian Songwriters’ Conference in Santa Cruz, CA on August 25-28, 2008, where he, alongside many other world-renown Christian songwriters and instructors, will mentor young songwriters interested in honing their craft in a creative, constructive and inspiring setting. At this event, Moen will release several new DVD resource products for worship leaders.

In the fall of 2008, Moen is thrilled to have the opportunity to travel to Vietnam. In partnership with UNICEF, he will participate in bringing hope through quality health care and education services to Vietnamese children throughout the country—children who live with disabilities as a result of exposure to dioxin left over from the spraying of Agent Orange during the Vietnam War. Soon thereafter, Moen will conclude 2008 with an exciting trip to Nigeria where he is scheduled for the second year in a row, to be the featured artist at The Experience music festival, expected to draw crowds of up to 500,000 attendees.
